			<description><![CDATA[ Reading Marcos Owners Mag no 57 from 1988 I was surprised to read about a supercharged V6 Marcos reg no Q 412 LKH - which was being used in Drag racing and
hill climbs. The supercharged engine was producing 320bhp in hillclimb spec, and 500bhp with nitrous on the drag strip - which for a 3 litre V6 sounds
completely amazing.

			<description><![CDATA[ Whilst I agree that our cars have nice sounding exhausts, people who run Hill Climbs and Track days have other ideas. They typically want a noise limit of ca
95 - 100db ( at 18in/0.5m) My car is ca 105-110db with standard Marcos Exhaust. I have tried inserts from Carbuilder - no effect. Has any body else solved this
problem eg fitting a different silencer or extra silencers. I am of course going to do more track-days and join the HSA  (Hill-climb and sprint association) so

			<description><![CDATA[ Since I now have a tuned V6 engine. I improved the brakes by fitting Wilwood 4-pot calipers on the front with greenstuff pads, vented disc and improved linings
for the rear std drum brakes. I don&#39;t like the standard &#39;plumbing&#39; system  ie rear brakes plumbed in series. Has anybody improved this setup eg by
fitting twin master cylinders or plumbing in a different way with a bias valve? I don&#39;t yet want to go to the expense of fitting rear disc brakes.

My car is currently fitted with the original cortina axle that has a 3.77 ratio along with the 4spd gearbox with OD that has the following ratios

 1st=3.163, 2nd=2.214, 3rd= 1.412, 4th=1, 4th+OD=0.82

Having looked at the different gearboxes available there doesn&#39;t seem much advantage of fitting a 5spd gearbox as it won&#39;t really... ]]></description>

hasn&#39;t fixed it. Tomorrow I was planning to see if I can find a garage that can re-balance my rear wheels by clamping them on the wheel studs. If that
doesn&#39;t fix it I&#39;m not sure what to try next. Any advice is welcome as I&#39;m running out of time to fix it.

			<description><![CDATA[ As my restoration nears completion there are a couple of items I still require. One of these is the flimsy piece of metal that attaches to the starter motor
and acts as a heat shield and the other is a bulb holder for the sidelights of a Marcos GT that fits into the bottom of the headlight (my car has the square
headlights from a vauxhall viva).
