Smelly boot

And before you buggers start I don't mean MY FEET!

When I refuel the flying Banana our boot always stinks to high heaven of fuel. In fact, on reflection, the boot ALWAYS stinks to high heaven of fuel. Before we go to Classic Le Mans in July I need to investigate this properly...

The great thing about all the meetings etc is that you get a wide spectrum of views about the cars ( mine in question!) and the general feeling after all the recent events is the following:

Its not loud enough
The gap in the wheel arch needs sorting

So................................ I am in talks with Cor Euser about some Dymag wheels and i will put larger new tyres on the car to (lift her up) and then drop the ride height in order to reduce the gap without...

10th August the LM600 is booked in at clairmont corvette to get the engine back to full health (what ever it takes) so looking forward to getting her fully up and running. Watch out RJP i am right behind you ha ha

LM wheel balance probem

Can anyone help, having had the front wheels balanced numerous times they still have a wheel wobble at between 40 - 70, the problem is they wont centralise so every time they are removed and refitted they are in a different position. The garage said an on the car wheel balance should work however nobody seems to do them anymore......any ideas please

The brand new shocks are ready and are going on the LM600 wed. So this will really make a massive difference to the way it drives as i have not experianced its full potential yet!. So looking to give her a decent run up to Curborough this weekend and give it some round the track also!.

Boiling to cheltenham

does anyone have any ideas on how i will keep myself under 100 degrees c in the cockpit of my LM on the way to cheltenham if the temperatures stay high, dont think they are all the same but the windows on mine only go down 2/3rds of the way......any ideas please????????????????????????????

LM500 Race Car now in New Zealand

The former LeMans entered, British GT3 winning LM500 car is now in NewZealand.
I haven't seen it in the flesh but have spoken with the owner, who confirmed that it is the real deal.

hmmmm just as things seemed going well for the Lm it has now developed a major fault and i may not be able to attend the ace cafe night! The car has been running perfectly well last thursday and friday, but on Saturday just gone took her out in the morning and drove her about 12 miles reached perfect operating temprature and stopped at a petrol station and filled her up, then went to...

Well I have been approached from the editor of Piston Heads.com and has expressed great interest in doing a feature on the LM600, so watch this space ( or piston heads web site) for this to happen, should be in about 2-3 weeks time, i will be soon emailing various other editors of proper car mags!! i reckon it will get a fair amount of publicity this year!!

Bessie got her kit off this weekend and is going topless again! I had forgotten just how LOUD she is - the hard top is great but really keeps the noise out - it is back to wind in the hair motoring for me!

WOW just browsing on the net and looked on the supercar.net web site, and wow the LM600 is picture of the day and yesterday was a bugatti veryon! so its right up there with the best, but there is only one LM600 road car

After 10 years of ownership I have now parted company with my trusty LM500.
It was sad to see her go, but it has spent most of the last two years in the garage.
At least it will now get used by an enthusiastic new owner, who hopefully will join the forum!

Well our LM has taken another step towards becoming French. She passed her Controle Technique (MOT) yesterday with flying colours, even though we pulled into the garage with a completely flat tyre from a puncture we seem to have picked up on the way. Now need to submit all the forms/information to the DRIRE again & see what other obstacles are put in our way.

The carbon fibre work is well under way, the wheels are off and jacked up, had a look under neath today and the gearbox, chassis, suspension is like new!!! very clean and the guys working on the car have said that there is some serious kit under neath!! the brembo calipers on the rear wheels are huge!! also the rear discs are 12" in diameter!!!
Going to have problems with the exhaust system thou the ground clearance under the car where the exhaust runs underneath is only 18mm!!!!...

something wicked this way comes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Does anybody know if it is possible to fit 18 inch rims to a LM500! I have a spare set of Dymags, with no tyres, unfortuneately. But it would be nice to fit them to the old LM me thinks!
