Registered Member Posts: 14 Fri, 14-Mar-2008 13:14	Tags : None Hi Quiffy I am not sure what is supposed to happen with new posts since the date thing was removed. But the flag on the right hand side seems to pop up when it feels like it i.e. today again I found new posts but no flags. Also the seem to disappear within a day or two. Can we have the dates back please? Richard

Richard, a couple of things to check which can sometimes result in the 'New Posts' flag showing; People editing any of the existing posts in the thread. Not being logged on - this make you anonymous to Yuku & it flags all new posts within the last 7 days as unread The Quiffster Unregistered user?, Why not come in out of the cold? It's painless, free and opens other options up to you. Spare less than a minute of your time and register here, go on, you know it makes sense!

Registered Member Posts: 933 Fri, 14-Mar-2008 16:37 Chief mechanic	I've foung that if you click 'mark forum read' at the top of each section, ie. 'General' it does work ok and takes you back to the main page each time.

I have just read this post, and going up a level to General I find there are still two other threads marked unread (fair enough), but going up to the top level the flag for General has been automatically cleared. Yet if I go back down into general there are still two threads marked unread. Seems wrong to me to have no unread posts at a high level, and then to drill down and find you have unread posts. I don't remember the previous incarnation doing this. Steve There's a lot of talk these days about green transport. Well, I am ahead of the game, I already have green transport ... British racing green.

The only thread showing New Post is the 'Hi Im new' in general but if I look round there are plenty of others that I have not seen. It now seems best to ignore the flag and look in each section anyway. Richard

(Note my comment about new posts only being flagged as new for seven days). Being able to identify new posts is fundamental to making the board useable, so let's try & crack this one. Use the 'Support' link at the bottom of the page to generate a ticket (as much detail as possible please) & we'll work to resolve the issue.
