Ignition on, fuelpump was happily clicking, and I was giving the key the final twist.
POW, a big fire came from under the bonnet!!
Having read about several Marcos disapperaring in flames, I quickly turned off the engine (yes, it started...), and pushed the car out of the garage.
Luckily, no big fire, and it stopped after a few seconds. Cause for fire is a leak in the carburators acceleration pump cover, and possibly a misfire (see earlier threads about this...).
But; I was scared, and will absolutely not use the car before the carburator is given a proffesional rebuilt. Will deliver the carburator to a specialist this evening...
