Coo, nice engine, and 6 speed box. Though seeing as I rarely use first and can do 30 to light speed all in 5th, I am not sure that an engine with such a wide
power band actually needs 6 gears.

Supercharged Quad Cam going cheap, plus LS3 guff | #22 | ||
|
A friend just came back from the states with Hot Rod magazine comparing crate Chevy engines. The LS3 6.2 looks good as a 'street' price for a full
engine is about $6200, list price is $8428, which is cheap as chips compared to the LS7 which lists at $17495 (but available for $13000). I think the step-up
in torque to 428 lb-ft from the Ford lump will require a close look at your gearbox.
On the other hand the Ford lumps don't seem so popular with engine builders, but I did see a supercharged one went for sale down in London on Sunday for £1200 - Link . I still reckon it will be a heck of a lot easier to stick with the original type of motor, even though the Chevy engines are readily available. Hi Oliver
If you are still looking for a 4.6L 4V Mustang engine, I know where there is an almost unused motor and gear box taken out of a challenge car that was replaced with a Corvette engine. Dave |

Interesting, that one has a T45 box, I assume the ex-MG engine has the Tremec box (original spec for the car AFAIK). I have 62000 on my LT77, and last service
the magnetic plug came out with a little Xmas tree, so I am beginning to wonder about the next gearbox - I wonder how these two compare ?

try asking on one of the Mustang sites in the USA, you may find you can just swap the bits over anyway like with most Fords
or having now read the advert fully, sounds like the vendor knows anyway
