Not sure about the Escort type, I've got the square viva headlights on my loved one don't think the fittings are the same.I've got some used spares if you are desperate what's the problem with the one's on your new loved one.Someone listed new old stock viva headlights a while back just wish I'd bought them.
Clutch wise what's your mechanical ability, have you changed an engine/ clutch before. Every time I've worked on my engine/ gearbox it's meant radiator out, starter motor, exhaust (always worst bit) then remove engine gearbox complete work on it out of the car then reverse. Always find other things that need to be done something I refer to as the Marcos Foxtrot, 1 step forward 2 steps back.
