As i will be getting the Lm600 on the road VERY soon, i have an idea!!!!...... I am going to drive to the M25 get on at junction 31a A12 exit on the M25 and
intend to do a full lap, but to make this more interesting i have also posted a note on the Piston Heads web site ( see under motoring news) and i am getting
some response, i have invited other sports cars owners to join me along the way at various junctions to show some support for the welcome back LM600 M25 lap!!
what would be a great bit of fun is to have a large group of assorted sports cars all going in convoy and then we all just go back off on our junctions and go
home. I was thinking about 12.00 noon start on the M25 and then just go round it at a steady pace, just to get the Lm back in the public eye. You are all
invited to join me even if it is for a couple of junctions etc? But i am going to do the lap any way just to give her a good run.

Always thought this would be a good idea so if I can make it I will be there. Do post when, are you going round once or once each way?
Could be useful to suggest the odd petrol station meeting point as one tank is not big enough to get round and home in one fill... Blackwall tunnell should be fun! |

Have I missed something here? what day are you talking about? Clockwise or anticlockwise? How do we know when to join the M25?
We live near J3 (A/M20). How about meeting at Clacket Lane services? 
PS. Jack, Blackwall tunnel ain't on the M25 - it's the A102

Err. last time I went the East side of London on the M25 I could have sworn there was a tunnel - don't go that way very often, has it gone? You'll be
telling me next that the two between Jn 25 & Jn 27 have gone too!

Well not decided on a fixed date, but i will soon, and what i was planning to do was get on the M25 at the A12 junction, and go north bound ie past M11
junction then keep going thru Hatfield tunnel (loads of noise!!) then stop at South Mimms service station A1 junction and then keep going round until you get
to Dartford Tunnel ( even more noise) then just go home? will take some planning i know butt if i stick to a time table ie start the M25 run at the A12
junction at say 12.00 noon then at 1.00pm meet at south Mimms service station, then 1.30pm back on M25 then stop at another service station some where near
M23? then just go from there any other ideas or suggestions let me know but i reckon late August on a Saturday could be a possibility

p.s. Hatfield tunnel is one I do know about, and it is on the A1, bit of a detour but could be worth it! |

momentumn, i know that Richard P and Geoff Philips and even Mark Cox in his evil Lotus will join in, and i could even get someone to drive my Aston Martin
Vantage just to add some extra interest, so i will propose a date very soon the piston heads web site i have posted is equally getting interest

A potential problem arrived in the post today - a wedding invite at Tunbridge Wells on Saturday 29th August - I bet that's the day you're planning?
Next day (Sunday) we are at Dunsfold for a blast down the Top Gear runway 
PS. LM600 and an Aston Martin Vantage? I'm in the wrong job
