been down the garage today to re-start the work, got next week off so will prioritise the car above everything else regardless of any nagging, actually, she a
good un really and lets me do whatever but does have that extra ability to make me feel guilty.
Anyway, I've got all the stuff for the wishbones, some 35mm x 3mm and some 25mm x 3mm seamless tube and a nice piece of 4mm plate. Have decided to try and get the car roadworthy first so that I can use it so have fitted the old springs, funny thing is it doesn't seem so low now, perhaps it'll settle a bit.
Have thought about making new engine mounts too so that I can get another 25mm ground clearance, but will have to see.
I'm also going to re-wire the dash as it's a real crap job done with dodgy connectors, so will wire in a nice new loom to the back of the centre dash then connect it via a multipin plug. I'm also going a bit retro and fitting some old Lucas toggle switches, I hate those bloody rocker things. Will post a few piccies if I can.
Don't think I'll bother with the heater eh, but a fan might be useful
