Tricky, Q - after all, the forum lets us all meet without even starting the engine, but then where's the fun in that ?

I can honestly say that the Marcos is the first car that I would not only take to work just to enjoy the drive, but I would go the long route too, and I wouldn't even mind being stuck in traffic. Its pure class.

As regards a NW meet, it deserves a separate thread of course, though you say you are in touch with people who are not on the forum (hard to believe). Would people come out to an evening meet during the week as the nights draw in - or would a weekend lunch time meet at some venue (maybe changing location) be a better way. There's not so many of us we would have to do much in the way of organising the venue, just find somewhere for Sunday lunch (or tea), or even Saturday tea.

If you have the contacts then maybe you could sound people out ? I like the idea of a drive at the weekend, especially if we meet up somewhere that is interesting in its own right. How's your going - has it given up smoking yet (I can get it some patches!).

There's a lot of talk these days about green transport. Well, I am ahead of the game, I already have green transport ... British racing green.
