Hi Jon,
I hope Jack won`t mind me chipping in here . Thanks for offer of dropping in on club stand , it`s great to here you have a good turnout . 12 cars plus us two "floating" should catch the publics eye.
Basicly how Dreams Rides works is :
The Sporting Bears raise money for designated childrens charities . Generaly smaller organisations where a few £100 quid or a few grand can make a huge difference. Hospices for terminally ill, disabilities , respite care homes etc etc. The club has raised 3/4 million £ since its start in 1989 and every penny goes to charity. Members get no expenses and our annual subs pay for the running of the club with all members and the committee giving up their time freely.

At "Dream Rides" events, members of the public pay a fixed "donation" price take a 10 to 12 mile ride in a car of their choice , the more rare and exotic, the higher the "donation". This overcomes any `for hire` issues.Amounts also vary depending on the type of show we attend as you have to gauge what the punters will pay. Obviously top dollar is at the NEC Classic Car Show which is the big earner and brings in about £30,000 over three day event .

Generally I can command £25 a go in the Mantara at a good show with plenty of petrol heads about . Everything is carefully scutinised and orgainised to ensure safety and insurance cover is up to scratch and drivers indemnity forms are completed .
So as Jack said, whet the punters appetite on the club stand with all your fab cars and send them in our direction . We`ll do our best to thrill them ! I always favour taking `em up Edge Hill nearby where Ollie the Crom. beat up the Royalists . Get a clear run up and it`s like having your own hillclimb circuit , V8`s sound great bouncing of the trees at the top image
