Have seen beach buggies with the word "Marcos" on them at shows before - one was at Tatton Park a few years back. I suspect it either relates to San Marcos in some way or is a copycat / typo of the "Meyers Manx" which was the first dune buggy: http://www.speedace.info/beach_buggy.htm

Wohooo... this is my 1500th post... do I get a prize or something?

You have now officially been awarded the title of 'Marcos Anorak'.
This will entitle you to ask for free admission to all Marcos events (generally refused) and to talk incessantly about Marcos's to anyone regardless of what the conversation may originally have been.
You will find others like you usually huddled together in small groups and easily recognised by the numerous badges they wear and or the smell of Beer and engine oil.
Beer Bellies are an optional extra and will have to be paid for/earnt.
Having a Marcos on the road is also a lesser known option as you can always post lots of pictures on here of the ongoing project that never quite makes it to events regardless of the hours put in.
Ensure early on that you identify an unobtainable part that is your own personal 'Holy Grail' (and 'get out' excuse)
You can opt out of some of these on a provisional basis only.
