I had a brilliant three days, & it was great to see everyone I've met before (even if I hadn't remembered, sorry!) & all the new faces too. Hard to choose a highlight but possibly watching Cor taking people up the hill? I've never seen so many Marcos being driven (some hard, some easy, some optimistically!) & the site that John Brookes chose for the Marcos Forum tent/shelter/gazebo thing was a perfect viewing point. Thanks John!

I wish I had done a Mantis count but was too busy trying to look in three directions at once! My guess is about 25 though. Total numbers... 260ish? Hope someone tries to figure it out from the combined attendance & hill climb list. It was a pleasure to see Jem on such good form & also to have had a brief chat with Cor on Saturday - what a nice chap.

The XP was something else. I had to keep reminding myself when it was built. Even better seeing it belted up the hill - no holding back from Ned off the line! image

Sunday seemed to fly by & I savoured the last few minutes of the Marcos vibe following another green Mantis as far as the M5, then he went south & I went north. I admit to doing a bit if 'hunting' up the M5 to try & find some fellow Marcos owners who were also heading 'oop north' but I only spotted one other car in 200 miles, which was a foreign Mantis being trailered off to the ferry (not recovered). It was a rapid reminder that having been surrounded by Marcos for three days, they really are rare as hen's teeth, & it's a pleasure & a privilege to own & drive one.

Thanks to everyone who made it such an enjoyable event for me, & in particular those who organised things. I can only begin to guess at the effort involved but all I can say is... it was worth it!

Superb.
