As a first event visitor, I would like to add that both Lyn and I were very impressed.

On Saturday we called in to Sudeley, Lyn had suggested we attend the event as I have a V6 in pieces in the garage. Her aim was to inspire me to get on and rebuild it. Mission accomplished, I am now inspired. Just need advice and assistance, guidance and yelling at. We returned on Sunday at Prescott, more inspiration; seeing all those lovely cars running up the hill.

Lyn and I chatted to many other Marcos enthusiasts and really enjoyed our weekend, hopefully there are those of you who may recall us, we look forward to meeting you all again.

My car is a 3L V6 1969 steel chassis, its in pieces and has been for about 25 years now.

My next post will be seeking advice about the V6 engine, but that will appear in the correct post (I hope).

Once again well done and thanks for a fantastic first event

My wife, Nuala, is one of the many people your wife spoke to. I was gallavanting around the site while Nuala was resting her broken foot by the side of our Ye110w LM400 when she met your wife. Nuala recounted the story your wife told to her, which was pretty much word for word what you have printed here.

All I can say is that you couldn't have picked a better event to make your debut, the weekend was by far the biggest and best event I have witnessed since my involvement with the Marcos Marque. You may have gathered that there are 3 Marcos clubs in existence, the Marcos Owners Club, Mini Marcos Owners Club and Club Marcos International. On this occasion all three pulled together and produced a weekend which far and away eclipsed any previous single event. My praise for and appreciation of those that gave their time and experience in setting this up for our benefit is unlimited.

Also, having found this forum, you have hit on the richest seam of information relating to anything and everything Marcos. Here you will still find people that were involved with the Marcos company back in the days our cars were built, from Jem Marsh who concieved the idea to the likes of Rory McMath & Dave Chivers who built and serviced them to Jeremy Kearns, who did then and still does handle the sales of the cars. You will be made very welcome both here and at any Marcos event you attend, whether or not you are driving a Marcos. If this weekend wasn't quite enough to get you fully motivated, just think how wonderful it would be to join us all as we head South, to France, for the Classic Le Mans in July 2010. image. The French people simply adore Marcos' of all shapes and sizes. Our last visit was Le Mans 2005 and everywhere we went, the Marcoses got huge adoration and respect from people of every age, it was fantastic. Most people involved with Marcos cars are very friendly, helpful and aproachable, I am sure you will have no trouble getting your car back on her feet and proudly strutting her stuff with the rest of us. image

There can never be too many Marcos' on the road and it sounds as if yours deserves the chance to once again stretch her legs and sing like bird on the country roads of our own and, perhaps, other shores.

Good luck with the rebuild, enjoy it and keep in mind the sight and sound of your own car at the future Marcos gatherings.image

All the best
