In the interests of completion, and at the risk of you guys laughing at me, I thought I should report back on this issue.I spent the whole of last Summer watching my temperature guage every time I went out. I fitted different thermostats, investigated different methods of reducing airlocks, removed my air-con radiator etc etc and still had a fluctuating temperature that would worryingly approach 115 degrees at times !Never underestimate the trouble that a tempremental voltage stabiliser can cause ....The old style stabilisers are simply a bi-metallic strip which oscillates to produce a pulsed 10v signal from an input between 10 and 15v. The only way you can accurately check the output is using an oscilloscope to view the signal and measure the pulse amplitude and duration. Not only was the duration variable for a steady input but I also had a poor connection within the device that spiked noisily if you tapped the body. The replacement solid state device was delivered to me for around £20, took 10 minutes to install, and voila my guage now moves between 80 and 90 degrees when warm ..... fan-bloody-tastic.Now I just have to get out of the habit of glancing at the guage every 30 seconds when I'm driving.Martin
