This is something that has always bugged me.
From what I gather, the National Kit and Performance car show at Donnington was originally started by the Marcos clubs back in the seventies.
I've seen pics of a sea of Marcoses at the melbourne loop hairpain, and it looked like quite a sight.
What happened, apparently, was that the Marcos clubs started to invite other marques clubs to join them, and it eventually became what it is today.
So why is it that Marcoses are a bit thin on the ground at the show?
I saw 4 yesterday, 2 Martina spyders, an original Mantis, and Richard Partridges Mantis spyder.
That's more than I see most years.
I just don't understand it, cos the show is quite good, there are a reasonable number of trade stalls, and the track is open on the sunday.
Where are you all hiding?
Also, if any of you have more details of the history of the show, or even better if any of you went to the original Marcos gatherings, I'd love to hear about them.
