Posts: 0 Sat, 20-Aug-2005 21:07	Tags : None My engine is standard as it the rest of the car other than 14" wheels and Wilwood 4 pot caliper front brakes. Happy to hear of anyone else mad enough to race... Currently having a new bonnet made with a deeper front, after smashing the other when an errant TR6 ended up on its roof just in front of me as I was cornering at about 85mph. Hit the brakes and spun but couldn't avoid the Armco on the track edge... Smashed the back end too... Check out website www.tops.co.nz for one or two extras

I'dbe very interested to sss what the set you are using is like as I have often wondered about using a 164E exhaust manifold and seperate inlets to allow webber or similar to be used.

Posts: 0 Fri, 21-Oct-2005 20:48	Still running stock cast manifold and twin Strombergs. Every time I call in to the local carb specialist, he goes on bended knee, wanting to fit triple Webers! We KNOW there is at least an extra 50bhp there, but cost and lack of suitable inlet manifold is a stumbling block. I have a 164E head and inlet around as a starting point, but some bright spark suggested getting two B20 inlets and modifying down to make inlets. Does this sound feasible? Racing this weekend for the first time in a year, but back with original bonnet that I have repaired. Looks straight now, but a lot to do to make it paintable.

The inlet manifold I think he found in the Volvo Marine scenerie. He is from time to time in this Forum. If you want to contact him directly and very quick. Car is manual/overdrive has been sitting around for the past 15 years but was a fun drive when it was on the road. Suspect manifold may have been a Penta part as there was some talk of ski boats in NZ with this set-up.
