I used to be a member of these forums but since the switch to Yuku is seems my old posts are now classed as "unregistered", then again I hadn't
been on in a few years.
For those who may remember I used to own a red 3l V6 under the reg KEJ 976H, it was sold through Jeremy a couple of years back, if anybody has seen the new owner on the forum I'd love to hear how the car is getting on.
As for me I am now back in the market for a Marcos....after spending the last couple of years with a Porker.....let's see who is the first to post a comment on that!
Anyway now looking for a proper car and have taken a visit to see Jeremy. He currently has a 3.9 V8 Mantara in his showroom and access to a 2.0 GTS up north which I'm yet to see as it is apparently having some work done and is not currently TAX'ed/MOT'd. For those who may remember, my trip to Le Mans a few years back can only be described as a standard Marcos owners day out, exhaust smoking the body work, starter motor breaking half way down and then the whole thing being towed back after the few days camping
What I'm looking for is a Marcos that is a little more practical (and reliable) than my old one. I'm now working from home so don't need it for the daily commute but would like to know that when I go and turn the key it will start
Does anybody on here use their Mantara as a day to day car and how do you get
on? It also seems to me that the Mantara is probably the most practical of the cars, perhaps short of the Mantaray but I appreciate they are like gold dust.
Any thoughts, comment, opinions welcome. Also if anybody knows anything of the silver V8 and the blue GTS that Jeremy currently has for sale please PM me or post on the board as I'd love to know some history on the cars. Many thanks.
