Registered Member Posts: 1640 Tue, 12-Aug-2008 13:40 Guru mechanic	Tags : None I have been contacted by a few owners asking if they could buy a large photo of their car on the Parade Lap from Le Mans Classic. I don't know the following owners but the offer is the same as for the owners who I have spoken too. The images are digitally printed either 30" x 20" or 800mm x 600mm (imperial or metric frame size.) The cost for the print and being sent out "to be signed for" by Royal Mail in a cardboard tube is £30. These are the same quality as you might have seen at Topcats, ISL Motorsport, Team Tiger and the GT teams I work with. If you are interested PM me with your name, car registration and the size of the print required. The seventh one is webozen (I think) - green 70's Mantis The last one is GreenHalf - Silver Mantis with red hood... recent article in the CMI mag.

Registered Member Posts: 361 Wed, 13-Aug-2008 20:10	Nice to hear you are keeping in touch John, and the photo you posted is of none other than Jon Brookes, who is the enthusiastic gent current trying to inject some life into the Marcos Owners Club. Jon and I had a discussion about adjusting the car to suit one'e stature the other day. It is one of the wonderful things about the Marcos is that it is able to accommodate people of all statures. I have a friend who is 6ft 6in and he was amazed to find he could really stretch his legs in the passenger footwell. The trick is the getting in and out, and I really think this needs a Jem Marsh masterclass. I am a whippet, so have no problem, but I would love to see some (u-tube) examples of how to get in and out if your are tall (and I wouldn't mind some videos demonstrating howa lady should do it elegantly in a short skirt - but that's just me...) Steve There's a lot of talk these days about green transport. Well, I am ahead of the game, I already have green transport ... British racing green.

Not wanting to hi-jack Gary's thread.....but I will anyway.... I remember when I first got my car and turned up at a Cheshire country pub. Up the car park I roared, opened the drivers door (in full view of the now goggling beer garden)... and promptly fell out on all fours! To make matters worse i hadn't noticed that there was a cop car in the car park! They breathlysed me BEFORE I even got in the pub, thinking I must have been drinking. They were friendly enough though and we had a laugh when I asked the PC to try and get in and out of the car. He must have been over 6 foot! Happy days......I do miss 'em I fancy an LM next........ or that Silver Mantis in the Gary's photos above... beautiful looking car!
