Excellent idea, yes mine is the last pic, already looking very different!! the wheels are now painted and repaired, now in met black, i will be sending some pics over to the morrisons next week to show whats been done since i got the car , the carbon fibre work looks really smart, the body shop people will start prepping the body work this week before it turns orange and then interior will be next.

As you can see its starting to shape, yes a lot of the carbon fibre work is based on my LM400 the pictues do not the car justice, in the flesh its very wide and much more meatier and the roof line is much lower than a standard lm/mantis. The front indicators will be removed ( they look cr**) the rear light areas needs finishing off, the wing mirrors will also be thrown away, just got some very nice zonda style wing mirrors that will be placed top of the door pillers (like the zonda) they will be painted, also the black bar at the front air vent will also be removed and the air vent cut bigger and the small blocked off air vents either side will also be cut out and mesh placed behind. The only thing not done yet is the massive rear diffuser i am going to have made, the exhaust system has to be modified 1st as it sits too low under the car and the rear back boxes will be going!! it sounds too tame at the moment. i will get some more pics posted in about a months time as its just rubbing down and making good the existing body before it will be painted, the calipers will be painted orange also.

been to greenspeed yesterday as its been a week since it has arrived at the body shop, and well the front end is off, the doors have been cut in half!!!!!, the exhaust system has been completely removed, we have decided that the doors will be de locked, and de handled!! so the doors will be totally smooth, with a hidden back up door release cable fitted, does anyone know where i can get those door pop release gadgets, i know the ex racing mantis in le man had them. Also i am going to have an incar adjustable ride hieght system, so i can press a button and select a ride hieght again any ideas??? All the shut door lines are now nice and even on the doors, we had to cut a bit off the doors and re join them as they did not fit properly!! the exhaust system will be no problem thanks to a brilliant idea by Martin the bodywork man!!, he will join new stainless steel pipes to the manifold and then use some u bends and make the pipes run down the side of the car behind the bodywork as there is about 10" gap and then the two pipes will exit the rear through the bodywork rather than just poking out underneath. The pipes will be heat proofed and you wont even see them. they reckon that by xmas the car will be in primer and all body panels done and ready to paint. Then early jan it will be painted and then the interior will be all thats left, going for brushed ali dash, new momo sterring wheel, flat carbon fibre door panels with a strap to pull door shut, alicante covered seats and transmission tunnel in two tone black and orange, with a few stainless steel bits dotted around, and black carpet. also will have 3 point racing harness fitted. so it wont make any shows until march next year but at least it will be reday for the big event next year!!, i will post some more pics early dec

Gary should be uploading some pics from when i looked at the car yesterday, it shows, the impressive brake/suspension assembly front and rear, also where the doors have been de locked and handles removed, (got the door opening system now thanks) but the car looks in a sorry state as it is bieng sorted for all the bonnet shut lines, exhaust system modification etc. but Martyn yes it should go all right, the handling will be excellent due to how low the car sits, plus double wishbone suspension it should stick like glue to the road, as far as engine, fairly standard LS7 unit, so prop leave this alone as want the car to be driveable, but it will be quicker than an LM500!! mantis GT???????????

Been to have a look at the Lm600, 1st glance looks pretty much like the last lot of pics placed on this site. The past 2 weeks has been mainly, rubbing down, filling, getting shut lines spot on etc, it now has the remote door release system fitted, and the rear boot lid has new gas lift strutts, the carbon fibre seats fit perfectly in the car!! so these will definately be used, but then the trimmers will be fitting additional orange padding to the seats. Only the boot lid and bonnet need finishing off and then it will ready to primer just before xmas, so once it is in primer i will get the final pics of her before the Lambo orange transformation will be done, they are going to paint each panel off the car, then do 1 coat of lacquer and then rubbed down and then another coat of lacquer, over the naked carbon fibre also so the exposed carbon bits will really shine and look a very deep gloss finish. then the interior will be left and that will not take long as i have the seats already and some other fancy bits. After the interior is done, it will go back to the carbon fibre people and have a bespoke made rear diffuser made, which will be the finishing touch to the back end of the car.

Been to have look today xmas eve!! and the car is now in primer, so when they are back in Jan 1st job is to finish off the bonnett lights etc, then they will do the exhaust system 2nd week in Jan then the car will be painted orange, so by 3rd week in jan it will be ready for the interior to be done, 4th week jan it will off to the carbon fibre people to have the rear diffuser made and bonded on, then, by early feb, it will be mot time and number plates etc, then last week in Feb its off to top cats racing for engine check suspension set up etc, then it will be on the road properly cannot wait!! now the car is in a basic colour it looks so different already, the attention to detail and quality of workmanship is supurb. will get some more pics uploaded prob by 2nd week jan then once the car is finished final pics will be posted then ( but just to be annoying i will post some close up arty pics) just to keep you all in suspenders until the 1st main shows he he he.
