Aviator, you seem to forget, I do not have or see club passes.............last year the clubs gave out the infield parking passes......and I could be parking
anywhere, as long as its not next to a Ye11ow LM (or the letter T!)

Hi Jon,
Do you need any help on Thursday evening ? I can pop over after work but will have to get away at some point to pick up grandson who is coming with me on Friday. Elliots Butchers in Towcester High St ( the Watling St. ) is very good. There is also a Tesco on A5 and Waitrose in centre of town ( one gets a better class of burger in Waitrose ). Mike. |

If you want somewhere a bit closer for bbq food I would recommend the butchers on the main road through Silverstone village. We usually get stuff from there
during the F1GP. Its a traditional, old fashioned butchers and everything we have got has always been excellent.
Doesn't look as though I'm going to make it. I'm supposed to be marshalling but I'm so far behind getting the Mantula ready for the 50th I really need a weekend at home. |

Note to everyone!
Sometime over the weekend a young lady by the name of Angie will be asking for me or possibly Jon. She loves Marcos but has never sat in one so please be nice and helpful as I know you always are. Shes involved with the company organising the event and used to work with Alfa for their PR, and we do not find many technical ladies who love Marcos! |

Hi Gary,
We`ll all be looking out for Angie then and Jon, Waitrose is popular with the local purple stockings and sensible shoes county set round our way so I presume they have a better class of
everything ! As for me , I`m more a Cost Cutter man myself. See you on Friday.

The last time I was at Silverstone (I think it was May this year) was at a Britcar race with Topcats. The price for 1 Cheeseburger was £6
With that in mind, Waitrose in Daventry has been visited and for less than £18 both Bradley (step grandson) and I will be able to munch on 3 cheese burgers (top quality meat and cheese) and 3 hot dogs each. so with Jon's offer of the use of a BBQ, I would strongly suggest a trip to the shops before you arrive. |

Motors TV coverage | #79 | ||
|
I have been watching this on Motors TV today, and superb coverage, and superb close racing too. I missed a big chunk in the middle when I took the Marcos for a
4 hour drive - I think it was to buy some driving gloves, though I didn't find any. Remind me next year that this is really big meeting - and I really
should try and attend.
However, for the guys that are there - are you able to follow the racing? Do you get to see the race cars in the paddock? Or is it mainly a good chance for a barbecue and chill out? And is there a Marcos racing and in what class/race (maybe Bill Smith)? Finally best of luck for the best of clubs display - there are some lovely cars amongst us - mine is more workmanlike, not suitable for such things. Seeing the good ones makes me more and more conscious about how bad the panels fit is on mine - and I can't see how to fix it. However I can see loads more performance... so that will have to do for now. Steve
There's a lot of talk these days about green transport. Well, I am ahead of the game, I already have green transport ... British racing green.

great day yesterday, topped off by superb gig by Santana, I was nackered by the time I got back last night but enjoyed every minute, so did Mrs eztop. Good
turn-out with over 20 cars of just about every model, and yes you do get access to the paddock and can wander free
And here's Sterling Moss signing a declaration that Marcos were always the better cars
