Finally found a 'fried' wire behind the dashboard.
After replacing it (and all the other wires that were affected by the heat) the magic machine started again !!!!
SUCCESS !!!!!
Minor problem :
When accelerating, at 4000 rpm, the engine starts misfiring and looses all power.
The only way to get passed the 4000 rpm mark is to very gently accelerate, but still there is no power.
To me this sounds like there is not enough fuel getting to the injection system.
Does anybody know the pressure at which the fuel should be made available to the system ?
Either the pump is not delivering the required pressure anymore, or the fuel filters are playing up at higher flows.
Therefore I'm planning to connect a pressure gauge in the fuel line, just to make sure...
Any other suggestions ?
