Has anyone removed the electric aerial from the rear of the car and mounted one in the boot??? If so what did you use and where did you get it from? (or what
is used on the Mantaray etc...) Thanks Gary

Gary, I've got a Mantara, which has an aerial mounted in the boot, which looks like a car kit type mobile aerial, i.e. its about a foot long. Hope that
helps

Gary.
Suitable aerial is available from Halfords. Electronic stick on aerial meant to be attached to the windscreen. It is a small black box with two thin strips sticking out, about a foot long. However it does need a power supply, I used the power aerial supply from the radio. Easy mount is to slide it into one of the ridges in the boot lid. Works perfectly. Richard |

mine's mounted in the rear wing where it gets covered with crap, a few inches further back into the boot would have been far better eh, who at Marcos
thought that one up then ?

Yes but if there is an automatic way to turn the power off then best to use it! |

pink is the signal cable to the electric aerial. The loom should have a pink and a green/brown available, vehicle wiring products have an aerial for about £36
which includes co-ax. My mantula boot is lined so aerial not visible sited in rear wing. The pink wire should be locatable at the radio end, i put in a rocker
switch so i can stop the aerial going up when the cd's on. V.W.P."s advertize in the mags.Earth can be anywhere. My first post!!! Phew!! lost my

Mine is a wire coat hangar that Kevin Ford wedged behind the petrol tank when he built it. It works well, but I NEVER play tapes or listen to the radio - why
would I, when I have that looovely sound coming from the back of the car!
