Hi,
Here's a few photographs, tried to get at least one of each car there, apologies if I missed any out. They will need cropping and editing,

Cmon Q - we expected you there - it is the 50th anniversary rally and maybe the last Curborough !
It was my first time around a track, and I must say I was impressed by all the different types of Marcos there, including of course Boycey's LM600, a TSO, and a wide range of ages of people and cars - and well organised and run. It was a lot of fun. From the outset there were three cars in the under 1 minute bracket (for 2 laps) and that is the way it stayed - Dave Parslow (4.5 litre Mantula), Bill Smith (1600 GT) and Richard in his supercharged and show winning beast. On his second timed run Richard really got a great time at 57.95s, and with the others on 59s it looked like he had it in the bag - and I saw that Richard was taking passengers on subsequent runs and generally enjoying the day. But right near the end Dave Parslow found something, and his penultimate run was 58.08s - just shy of Richard's time, and at the last chance he pulled out a 57.73s run, leaving Richard only one chance to get the lead back - and he really gave it the works, but got 58.06s. This was so close it was really thrilling, and you can only think that if Richard had had a few more chances he could still have cracked it, but that is racing - as they say. The road legal race cars are certainly stiff opposition for a full road car - and I have to say that the man of the match was for me Bill Smith in a wooden chassis 1600GT. His best lap of 59.06s was almost incredible when you consider the firepower he was up against - fair do's - there is only one way that happened, a great car and a great driver. The other thing is that the gods smiled on us - the track was dry throughout inspite of the met office being completely convinced we would be underwater by tea - it just stayed away. Steve
There's a lot of talk these days about green transport. Well, I am ahead of the game, I already have green transport ... British racing green.

I thought RJP had got it as usual, so well done DP.
Mind you DP, talking of losing some weight, that wiper motor of yours must weigh in at 5Kg at least |
