Bit of a squeal from the brakes so I thought that as I'm going to be investigating the cause I may as well replace the pads while I'm there.
Are the pads/discs bespoke or 'borrowed' from another vehicle - what am I asking the nice man behind the counter to supply ? Thanks Martin |

Hi Martin,
Is the squeal from the front? I have the AP 4 pot calipers fitted to the front of mine. when I bought the car 3 years ago from redline Jeremy led me to believe that this was a common problem but not a fault. I have tried various things to stop the squeal but to no effect. So I would also be interested in a "cure". Nigel |

sounds mad but I was talking to my friend yesterday who is a mechanic, at the time he was skimming the rust off the outer edge of brake discs. When I asked why
he said he has found that it causes brake squeel.....hope this helps you

I was going to try some copper grease and maybe a rubber shim to prevent the resonance that causes the squeal .... still need to know what pads to ask for
though if anyone has any ideas ?
