Helmets were not needed in 2006 when I last went round. Only time I have needed a Helmet is on a trackday.

Right - we now have some details - thanks to Isobel - of the booking information, as follows:-
Clubs general entrance ticket - 42 Euro per person (inc paddock access) Grandstand Access - 3 Euro per person Track Laps - 110 Euro (Fri pm or Sat am) Clubs Party - 75 Euro (Sat Eve - live band) All Club priced tickets need to be ordered together and the first deadline for tickets is 31/01/08 so people will need to make a decision and be prepared to pay upfront to ensure that this can be done. Normal General Admission is 67 Euros. Club priced tickets are available to people attending but not in their Marcos - although parking will only be available in the public carparks. All the Club booked Marcoses will park in the Bugatti Enclosure. Camping is available at Maison Blanche - camping in the Bugatti enclosure is strictly forbidden. Isobel is currently requesting confirmation that cars post 1966 will be accepted - certain marques are allowed but Marcos (surprise, surprise) does not appear in the list, although @#%$ do so we don't think there will be a problem. This is just a taster for the moment - as more details become available I will let you know. I would just point out that for people wanting B&B/Hotels I know that they are starting to get bookings already - our friend's B&B is now fully booked for the Classic! Also the Classic Le Mans website has now been updated with information for the 2008 event www.lemansclassic.com |

Just a thought and something that Richard Partridge had mentioned - anyone whose better half (wife/girlfriend) is coming with them and really is not interested in spending 2 whole days at the circuit, they are quite welcome to spend the day at our place - whether they are camping here or not.
It is still a renovation project but there is plenty of outside space and a nice lake to sit and relax around, taking in the rays |

We had our monthly MOC meet last night and B&B/ hotels were discussed, as at least three couples from Kent are not interested in camping.
Is there a list of B&Bs that we can ring and book? What about near your abode, D & D? You can put Jean and I down for the general entrance tickets, the grandstand and the Track laps. Also the Clubs party if everyone else is going. Just let me know how, when and where to pay |

We are still awaiting definite confirmation as to whether all ages of Marcos cars will be allowed before we start booking anything. By the sounds of things there will not be a problem but the guy who makes the ultimate decision is away at the moment so are awaiting his response.
Will keep you updated. |

The pre-66 thing is a bit of a worry - do they think they're Goodwood or something?
Be a bit of a small turn-out if only pre-66 cars |

1979 would be a more logical cut-off date.
